当年，NHK电台曾经作过一个节目《幸运町的"潘潘"》，来描述她们的生活，其中菊地章子为主角所作最后的咏叹《流星》，一点儿被世界所抛弃的辛酸，恰似正是说她们的命运：

这女子，
无人知她是谁。
也知道日本战败后的惨痛是咎由自取，也知道日本对战争的反省根本还不及格，也知道我们自己的同胞中，还有更为凄惨的遭遇……可是，写这个题目的时候，还是无法摆脱对潘潘们的同情，或许，仅仅因为同是人类。
